laser cutting warsaw

Nowadays, laser sheet metal cutting turns out to be an indispensable process, used within the framework of production of various types of structural elements or precise finished products. This is because modern laser cutting technology is an excellent alternative to conventional material processing methods. It is worth mentioning that laser-cut components are of great interest, especially to those customers for whom first of all a high level of workmanship is important, and secondly, one hundred percent conformity of finished products with design assumptions.

Warsaw and its economic potential

Warsaw is the political, financial, cultural and commercial capital of Poland and at the same time the largest city in the country. It is located in the Mazovian Voivodeship, or more precisely in its central-eastern part, in the Central Mazovian Plain, on the Vistula River. In addition to dominating Poland in terms of area, Warsaw is also the most populous city in the country. It should be pointed out here that Warsaw's economic development is linked to several key factors, among which can be listed:

  • The city's performance of functions of a capital nature,
  • clear dominance of the city over separate urban centers both in the region and nationwide,
  • Linking the city's economy with other European countries, especially Germany
  • High scientific and academic potential and an educated workforce

At present, among the numerous industrial branches, the electrical machinery industry (i.e. electronics, precision engineering, means of transport, machine tools and construction machinery) in particular is considered the leading group, concentrated not only in Warsaw, but also in the surrounding towns of Piaseczno, Pruszków, Ozarow, and Minsk Mazowiecki. In addition, the chemical industry (including the pharmaceutical sector and the perfume and cosmetics sector) and the printing industry of more than regional importance are also widely developed in Warsaw. In turn, the food, construction or energy industries work primarily for the local market. Concluding the economic characteristics of the Polish capital, it is worth emphasizing once again that a favorable element that affects the attractiveness of the city to potential investors is the well-developed technical infrastructure, as well as a highly educated workforce. A number of domestic and foreign companies have their representative offices and branches in Warsaw. Thus, it can be concluded that Warsaw is one of the fastest growing cities on Polish territory, which adapts to changing market needs. This fact naturally entails the need to offer innovative services, which include laser cutting.

Laser cutting as a non-contact type of slitting

Laser cutting offers the possibility of cutting both metallic and non-metallic materials having different thicknesses. The basis of the process is the laser beam, which is properly guided, shaped and bonded. When the energy of the laser beam encounters the workpiece, the material melts or vaporizes. The total laser power is then concentrated at a single point, the diameter of which usually does not exceed half a millimeter. If more heat is concentrated at this point than can pass as a result of thermal conductivity, the laser beam completely penetrates the material in question. This is how the cutting process begins. While under other methods heavy machinery acts on the sheet metal with enormous forces, the laser energy does its work in a non-contact manner. This has two major advantages. Firstly, the tool is not subject to wear, and secondly, no distortion or damage is produced on the workpiece, meaning it does not need additional finishing work

Description of selected laser cutting methods

The laser, being a versatile and effective tool, is in many cases the first option chosen when metal and non-metal materials need to be cut. This is because the laser beam quickly and flexibly cuts almost any contour, no matter how fine and complex its shape, or how thick the materials to be processed are. It is also important that different cutting gases and cutting pressures affect the overall machining process and its end results. Examples of laser cutting methods include:

  • torch cutting - in which the function of the cutting gas is oxygen, blown into the cutting gap at pressures as high as 6 bars. There it burns off and oxidizes the liquid metal. The energy released from this chemical reaction supports the laser beam. Thus, oxygen cutting makes it possible to use high cutting speeds, and to process both thick sheet metal and structural steel;
  • sublimation cutting - which is used mainly in the aspect of activities that determine the high level of quality of the cutting edge. In this method, the laser has the task of vaporizing the material with as little liquid metal as possible. Then, the vaporized material generates high pressure at the cutting slot, ejecting the liquid metal both upward and downward. It is also worth noting that in laser sublimation cutting the process gas, i.e. nitrogen, argon or helium, protects the surfaces from the harmful effects of the environment, and also ensures perfect oxide-free edges;
  • precision cutting - which is characterized by the fact that the pulsed laser energy makes individual holes, overlapping 50 to 90%, and thus creating a cutting gap. Short pulse durations ensure extremely high peak powers and extremely high power density on the surface of the workpiece. The main advantage of the described method of laser cutting is considered to be the very low heating of the material, allowing even the finest parts to be cut without any deformation caused by the temperature.

Laser cutting offer for customers from Warsaw

Modern processing of a wide range of materials is offered by Factory 4x4. It provides services such as:

- sheet metal laser cutting

- laser cutting of profiles and tubes

- CNC sheet metal bending

- milling

- powder coating

- robot welding

In addition to this, it also cooperates with numerous service and production companies that operate in the broadly defined metal industry. This fact guarantees Factory 4x4 the production of both quality semi-finished and finished products. This means that laser-produced parts do not require any additional processing or finishing work. Factory 4x4 is headquartered and has a production facility near Krosno, in the Subcarpathian Voivodeship, and carries out every order there. Nowadays, thanks to its extensive logistics and transportation capabilities, it is able to guarantee timely and safe transportation throughout the country. For larger orders, it also offers free delivery of the order. Fabryka 4x4's offer, which includes, for example, innovative laser cutting, is therefore available not only to entrepreneurs from Warsaw and its surroundings, but also from the entire Mazovia province. Detailed information relating to each of the services, as well as the technical parameters of the machines at the company's disposal, can be found in the relevant tabs. The 4x4z factory always tries to adapt its services to the changing needs and requirements of its customers. The company also cares about the highest possible quality of products.
